In many respects, the best choice for Real Estate agents is Brand, Product or Organization. (The Founded information will not show up unless you include when the organization was founded.)
Once you’ve chosen the Category, it’s time to choose a name. Choose something that your Friends and Fans will be able to find easily and/or something that is specific about your business. For example, searchable with regard to real estate.
If you are marketing yourself, with your name as your domain name, etc., you may choose to use your own name. If not, pick something that’s representative of who you are and what you do, i.e. Joe Smith, San Jose Real Estate.
Once you’ve chosen the name and the Category of the page, Click Create Page. You will now need to sign into your Facebook account or create a Facebook account if you don’t already have one. Once you’ve done this, your page will open.
Click the Info tab, next to the Wall tab. Click Edit Information, on the right hand side to edit the information about your page. When you’re done, click Done Editing.
On the left hand side of the page is a box that says, “Write something about [Your Fan Page Name] here.” This box shows up when people open your Fan Page. Include something here that will attract attention and explain why your Page exists and what value you have to the reader.
If you wish to change any other options, including who else is an administrator, who can view and post to your Fan Page, use the Edit Page button on the left side of your page.
You now have a fan page on Facebook. To access it, go to your personal Facebook Page. If it doesn’t show up as Ads and Pages on the left side of your page, go to the search box at the top, and start typing in the Fan Page Name. It will be there.
The next step is, of course, posting something interesting on your page, and inviting others to become Fans of your page.
In order to invite others, on the main Fan Page, Left Column, choose Suggest to Friends. This will show a box with contacts from your personal page. Choose the people you want to invite. Click Send Invitations.
