Hi Judy: Great questions. I wish I knew the answers. Copyright does continue after someone’s death, depending on what country, depends on how long. So his handouts could still be considered copyrighted material. (No notice for copyrighting is required.) As far as his ideas, you’re outside my knowledge on this. I think you may want to talk to an attorney, certainly before you publish.

Hi Judy Kane, I am writing a non-fiction book based on teachings of a professor who has been decease for 11 years because he never published anything he taught because he was ahead of his time. I fully intend to him him credit for all the concepts in each chaper in my book and use a few of his writings and graphs (given to students) as hand outs. He died at age 73.His 4 children are his only living legal relatives. Do I need their permission to write my book or pay them any royalties….which I surely would do. He was a genius! What’s your opinion?
I’m trying to get a general idea before I hire a lawyer, if necessary. His work has to be published…his discoveries were at least as important as Albert Einstein’s! I may self-publish with Balboa Press. Thank, Judy A.

godaddy is not always the best registrar, the private registration of godaddy is too expensive ..
